The Mace Family
Watchable Wildlife Area
The Mace Family Watchable Wildlife Area will benefit the region for generations. It will ensure the highest and best use of property entrusted by Bob and Phyllis Mace—featuring creation of a publicly accessible area that will inspire individuals and industries to appreciate and value watchable wildlife and outdoor recreation.
Bob and Phyllis Mace
Bob passed away in 2006, and was preceded by his wife, Phyllis, in 2005. Their passion for watchable wildlife and their contributions to the community will extend for generations. They established a $1.5 million endowment for the Mace Watchable Wildlife Chair and scholarship fund at Oregon State University in 1993, donated funds for a Watchable Wildlife education center at the Jackson County Expo, and established the Bob and Phyllis Mace Watchable Wildlife Fund at the Oregon Community Foundation (OCF).
